Isabelle Konrad: „PURPUR“
Isabelle Konrad (born 1998 in Weißenhorn, Bavaria) is a German film director, author, dramaturge and media artist who also works partly as a producer. In her work, she deals with socio-critical themes and addresses them through targeted provocations. Manipulation, irony and surreal visual motifs are part of her artistic signature. She herself often acts as a performer in her own works. She has been studying media art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) since October 2017. In February 2022, she completed an Erasmus semester in the field of “Theater & Performance” at the IUAV in Venice. Her works have been presented in renowned galleries, museums and festivals, including the film “Purpur” (104 min., 2022), the photo, video & performance project “Heute hatte ich eine Krise” (2021) and the sound installation “Ich, Terrorist*in” (2022). She is expected to complete her diploma in media art at the HfG Karlsruhe in fall 2024.
